About Us

A Winning Team

The Widdle Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization based in Central Texas. Here at The Widdle Foundation, we have an amazing team of volunteers who are taking their convictions and turning them into action. Their compassion and commitment to helping animals is the core of our foundation. Think you would be a good fit? See our contact page for more information!

Our History

The Widdle Foundation was created to honor the memory of our founder’s sweet, loving yorkie named Selena, affectionately nicknamed “Widdle,” who lost her struggle with a recurring medical issue – in spite of all the care and attention she received. This experience spurred the vision for an energetic, nonprofit to support our community's animals through rescue & shelter, funding to assist with veterinary expenses, research into pet illnesses and other medical conditions, and education about the care and training of dogs.

Animals Are Our Mission

The mission of The Widdle Foundation is to provide for animals in need of funding, rescue, shelter, as well as raise awareness through education. Our primary focus, at this time, is on dogs; however, as the Foundation grows, we hope to provide for the rescue, rehabilitation, sanctuary and re-homing  of unwanted, neglected, and/or abused animals – which may include other domestic and farm animals, not only dogs. The Widdle Foundation, Inc. provides education to the general public about the care and training of dogs and awareness services about specific illnesses and diseases found in pets and other animals. The awareness program is to help prevent unnecessary deaths by promoting research and assisting with veterinary expenses.

“Widdle to the Rescue”

Many animals need help, and you can do your part. Just listen to Widdle: she'll open your heart! Welcome to Widdle's world of love on four feet. Follow her as she finds homes for the homeless — and learn how you can help. Let's visit the animal shelter to see all the dogs waiting for someone to love. Could that be you? Would you choose Jake, Roxie, Russo, or Grace for your furever dog? Dogs give us so much when we open our homes and our hearts. Widdle to the Rescue teaches children about the joys and responsibility of pet adoption. All proceeds will go to The Widdle Foundation.
